Community Engagement

Community Engagement refers to the process of Council working with members of the community to ensure the services provided for in Council planning are what is needed by the community.

Effective community engagement involves identifying relevant stakeholder groups and their preferred methods of communication.

Council has conducted various activities in order to develop the Community Engagement Strategy including holding community forums and community satisfaction surveys. Visit the Community Strategic Plan pages for further information.

In September 2011 Council adopted the Community Engagement Policy and in April 2013, the Community Engagement Strategy to guide the future processes Council will undertake in relation to community engagement.  The community is invited to make comment on the documents and their content to council@richmondvalley.nsw.gov.au or by telephone to (02) 6660 0300.
